What We Do

Center for Culturally Responsive Educational Neuroscience aims to develop the emerging Mind Brain Education (MBE) discipline, using our combined strength in neuroscience, education, and educational psychology research. In addition, this center seeks to establish a dialogue between researchers and practitioners to translate research into practice further to improve education and well-being across the lifespan.

The cornerstone of this center is its online MBE certificate that centers on understanding the neural mechanisms of learning and development and the role of experience in shaping the brain. The graduate certificate aims to train educational practitioners (psychologists, teachers, non-profit education professionals, administrators, and policymakers) to harness research and generate innovative teaching, learning, and education approaches.
